IDATS
Tape media specialists IDATS, have received an injection of £20k in funding from the VISTA project. The funding provided is to support the development of an innovative new product line and capitalise on recent market growth, which has accelerated since the pandemic.

Equi-Jewel
The collaboration between Equi-Jewel and the Atrium at USW has led to the procurement of the Gerber digital pattern design and cutting system. The significant reduction in time during the pattern cutting process means that new products can be delivered in days rather than months. The provision of digital bespoke tailoring through the avatar system will enable more customised products, as well as new breeches and shirts.

Gas Tech Wales
Due to the support given by VISTA, Gas Tech Wales were able to move business premises which has had a positive impact on the business operations. They have seen a 76% increase in Sales and 300% in productivity due to this. VISTA has also funded a training room to allow for internal training with engineers; and a forklift to improve logistics capabilities.

Energizer Holdings
VISTA supported the survey of the new unit on the Rassau estate, and the research by AMRC to optimise the production processes between the two plants. As a result of this, there is an opportunity to pursue further funding to support a larger research project, and the new capabilities of the second plant will come on stream in 2023.

AB Group Packaging
The VISTA funds enabled the research and procurement of maintenance software. This will drive process efficiency with a 20% reduction in breakdowns through preventative maintenance and stock efficiencies through purchasing a digital software solution. A digital system supplied by Shire systems will integrate 2 sites and provide insights to drive process improvement and optimisation of stock. This will provide information to improve availability 25% of spare parts and reduce cash position by 50% through stock sharing.
